Vito Anderson, 38, of Pleasantville, was arrested on Tuesday, Mar. 26, the Galloway Township Police Department said in a Facebook post. He was given several charges stemming from the burglary at Gold Leaf Tattoo on West White Horse Pike.

Galloway police received the burglary report on Monday, Mar. 25. Officers discovered that the suspect forcefully entered the parlor and took several pieces of tattoo equipment.

Gold Leaf Tattoo employees went to the police department the next day with new information they received related to the burglary. Police identified Anderson and began surveillance in the Chelsea Heights section of Atlantic City where he was arrested.

Police found Anderson with a tattoo gun and a search of his temporary residence in the city found more items stolen from Gold Leaf Tattoo.

"This is another example of police and the public working together to fight crime in our community," police Chief Richard Barber said. "Continuing to build trust and communication with our business owners remains a top priority for our police department."

Anderson was held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility on the burglary charges and several outstanding warrants.
